OUR STORY

We are Chris and Cathy, a pair of creative people, busy making in our little workshop in the village of Crich in  Derbyshire.

We design and make every piece ourselves, be it a small decoration, a bespoke sign, memorial plaque or large one-off installation.

We are explorers;  forever dreaming up new ideas and foraging for different materials and techniques to make our ideas come to life. It’s the challenge of creating things that haven’t been seen before that makes us love what we do.

Of course enthusiasm isn’t enough to create beautiful products. We are both trained in the arts and come from a background of artists and makers:

Our Heritage

We are third generation designer-makers – our Fathers both made musical instruments and one also made ecclesiastical furniture. They were also artists and one was a published composer.

Going back a generation, Cathy’s Grandfather was a coppersmith, whose work is on permanent display in the National Railway Museum, York.

We are very proud of the legacy left by these talented gentlemen and hope they would be pleased that we've inherited their love of making. As part of their legacy, we've also inherited some of their tools, which we enjoy using every day.
